Description of Service
HostelLink (https://hostellink.com.ng) is a digital transaction facilitation ecosystem owned and operated by Niyhi Global Ventures.
- We provide a peer-to-peer marketplace that connects outgoing occupants (Listers) with new renters.
- We provide Escrow Services, Listing Verification, and Deep Inspection Reports.
- Important: HostelLink is not a property owner, landlord, or estate agent. We do not manage properties and are not a party to the physical tenancy agreement between a landlord and a tenant.
The Listing Partner Program (Earn up to ₦10,000 – ₦30,000)
By listing a property as a “Partner” or “Scout,” you agree to the following:
- Authority: You warrant that you have the legal right or permission from the property owner/caretaker to represent the vacancy.
- Accuracy: You must provide truthful media (videos/photos). Providing false information to secure a booking is a breach of contract.
- The Bonus: Listing Bonuses (up to ₦10,000 – ₦30,000) are disbursed only after a successful booking and the expiration of the 24-hour Renter Review Window.
- Forfeiture: HostelLink reserves the right to withhold bonuses if a listing is found to be fraudulent or if the user attempts to bypass the platform.
Payment & Escrow Protocol
- All payments must be made to the designated business accounts of Niyhi Global Ventures or through our integrated secure payment gateway.
- Anti-Bypass Policy: Users are strictly prohibited from soliciting or making direct cash payments to landlords or agents outside the HostelLink platform.
- Consequences: Any “backdoor” transaction voids the True-Listing Guarantee and will result in a permanent ban of the user account and forfeiture of any pending bonuses.
The Deep Inspection & 24-Hour Review Rule
- Upon payment, HostelLink conducts a physical Deep Inspection.
- The Renter is provided with an Inspection Report and has exactly 24 hours to raise a dispute.
- Consent by Silence: Failure to raise a dispute within this 24-hour window constitutes a legal “Consent by Silence,” authorizing Niyhi Global Ventures to release the escrowed funds to the Landlord/Caretaker. Once funds are released, the transaction is finalized.
Zero-Agent Fee Policy
HostelLink operates on a 0% Agent Fee model for renters. We do not charge “Form Fees” or “Consultation Fees” for browsing. Any user found soliciting such fees in the name of HostelLink should be reported to the Student Union (SU) and legal authorities.
Limitation of Liability
Niyhi Global Ventures and HostelLink shall not be held liable for:
- Property Condition: Physical defects or damages to the property occurring after the 24-hour review window.
- Utility Failures: General transformer issues, PHCN outages, or municipal water shortages.
- Interpersonal Disputes: Character disputes between tenants, landlords, or neighbors.
- Force Majeure: Events beyond our control (strikes, riots, or government policy changes).
User Conduct & Content
- Users are responsible for the accuracy of content uploaded to their accounts.
- HostelLink reserves the right to watermark, use, or remove user-generated media for marketing and verification purposes.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the state of operation (e.g., Kwara State).
